Made For A Woman (M4W) launches its first-ever ready-to-wear collection in an exclusive collaboration with unique omni-channel retail platform, MODES.
The ten-piece Summer collection includes macramé bucket hats and headpieces, dresses adorned with floral embroidery, fringed skirts in multiple lengths, and a selection of bandana, fringed, and corseted tops. Each piece is handmade using both traditional and innovative raffia weaving techniques developed at the M4W atelier by its artisans, taking up to 90 days to produce.
All additional fabrics utilized are sourced from second-hand markets, making each piece one-of-a-kind.
The embellishments seen on the evening dress and headpiece include locally-sourced Madagascar precious stones, and Preciosa beads imported from Italy.
Like all M4W products, the ready-to-wear collection offerings use raffia from certified sustainable suppliers and GOTS-certified dyes. The AZO-free organic dyes used in the collection create vibrant summer colors in five different tones, including a rainbow print made from upcycled raffia to further Made For A Woman’s environmental sustainability efforts and reduce waste.
