MODES lined-up a paced calendar of events, building a community, and a strong network of creative individuals, around its physical and digital spaces. The locations become playgrounds for outstanding installations and energetic collaborative events, places where visual arts come together, expressing the strong bounds MODES created with its diverse clientele.

This season, Sease is proud to announce a collaboration with Sea Shepherd, the non-profit marine
conservation activism group who act as guardians and custodians of the oceans. The charity is fiercely committed to enforcing and protecting conservation law with regards to sea life and upholding rules regarding fishing regulations.

All profits will be donated to the Sea Shepherd cause.
The collaboration was a natural pairing of two like-minded forces; Sea Shepherd’s commitment to
protecting marine life chiming with the sentiments of Sease to respect the ocean.

To celebrate the Sestini x MODES launch, a special evening has been held at MODES Milano. Showcased amidst an installation built around upcycled marble objects by young artists from Tuscan atelier Fiammetta V, the sunglasses took centre stage, while guests enjoyed a soundtrack by iconic Milan DJ Andrea Ratti.

The MODES store in Piazza Risorgimento was the location for the launch of MODES Garments, the brand's new label inaugurated with a capsule of tees in which the artwork of Giacomo Fumagalli, founder of Aloha Project, joins the world of skateboarding. A marriage told by the photos of Kuba Dabrowsk, but especially by the zine, a concept closely related to skate culture, distributed during the event

The launch focused on an in-store installation and colour-block visuals inspired by the concept of the capsule, a flower installation by florist Sachiko Ito composed of dried flowers, dried herbs and straw giving them a second life; the Re:Work video was playing on screen showing the various steps of the making of the pieces, from deconstructing to finishing. A DJ set by Piotr Niepsuj completed the event.

The MODES XRISTMAS MAGIX project has come to life through a series of playful and eye-catching set designs according to the vision of Milan-based creative agency La Colonia and set designer Alessandro Mensi. Classic winter accents and typical end-of-year elements were revisited in a clubbing key. A blanket of white faux fur, reminiscent of a snowy carpet, covered windows and furniture, while inflatable balloons created iconic and ironic sculptures scattered throughout the space. The evening's soundtrack was provided by DJ, model and photographer Sophie Koella, who kept guests dancing and entertained throughout the evening.

During Fashion Week MODES launches a project in collaboration with Camera Moda Fashion Trust. Protagonists are the visions of young designers, each of whom expresses a unique and updated approach to style. 6 brands representing all the diversity and breadth of contemporary creativity: ATXV, CHB, Edith Marcel, Francesco Murano, Gentile Catone and Marco Rambaldi. Each presented a signature look emblematic of their aesthetic, selected from the AW21 collection, through a showcase dedicated by MODES Milano. The installation, created with the support of Bonaveri, whose mannequins will be present in the space, transformed the store into a hub and incubator of new talent.

Presentation of the new issue of the magazine C41, whose cover was shot by artist Nadia Lee Cohen, through a special installation, launching for the occasion a series of unique covers designed by the artist herself. The boutique was transformed by red neon lights and inhabited by mannequins in poses reminiscent of the cover. The cover in maxi proportions dominates the space, installed within the movable walls. A DJ set by Palazzi D'Oriente created the right sound atmosphere.

To present the collection to the public for the very first time, Raf Simons chose MODES Milano with a special event and in-store installation. Echoing back to the runway set design, the display
will feature the brand’s iconic mannequins amongst a striking décor of yellow moss, flowers and trees curated by Antwerp-based florist and Raf Simons’ long-time collaborator Mark Colle. To further capture the spirit of the show, exclusive backstage images shot by photographer Ken Claes will be released for the first time.

On the last day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week, MODES Paris transformed into an ancient Aztec solar city as Liberal Youth Ministry takes over amidst fantasy characters and vibrant visuals. Titled Ciudad del Sol, Liberal Youth Ministry’s Spring-Summer 23 line-up is celebrated through a very special exhibition created specifically for MODES Paris. Directly inspired by the collection’s central themes, the installation sees neon-hued Aztec sculptures and anime-style Mexican characters create a visual dialogue with luscious greenery and jungle-inspired floral arrangements.

MODES debuts a new project for the Salone del Mobile together with the architects of Gonzalez Haase. Starting from the 6th of June, the space has been on the official Fuorisalone calendar and has become a natural place for daily gatherings, a place to relax, reflect and rethink familiar ideas. An extension of the shop, this modular structure was further disassembled and then reassembled in the various MODES shops in the spirit of sustainability and upcycling. An invitation to dialogue and the meeting of global points of view united by design, the space consists of a bar counter, a double bench, a dance floor, a tent and a sofa. Chromed maxi balloons give the roof a dreamy, light touch, while lights and water fountains play with natural elements.

GR10K @MODES MILANO 31-03-2022

GR10K and MODES came together last night through “Midwest Wasteland”,
featuring a live performance by noise artist Shit and Shine and an installation by multidisciplinary artist
group LAAR to coincide with the launch of their exclusive capsule collection during Milan Art Week. Trashy trailer park utility tables adorned with office chair parts, dried flower petals, and silicon moulds offered a critical reinterpretation and ideal banquet space framed within the cultural outskirts of USA’s mobile home phenomenon.

Founded by Patric DiCaprio, Claire Sullivan and Bryn Taubensee, Vaquera instantly resonated with the industry thanks to its highly individual blend of cutting-edge aesthetics and attention to details, brought together by a unique knack for storytelling. Bold volumes and unexpected silhouettes reinvent and challenge the very notion of luxury season after season.

The MODES XRISTMAS MAGIC project came to life thanks to the window dressing designed by creative agency La Colonia and set designer Alessandro Mensi: an ode to celebration, populated by elements linked to the imagery of clubbing, but with a winter twist. Providing the right musical atmosphere was Thomas Costantin, aka The Man in Red, who offered a personal interpretation of the season's classics to create the perfect party mood.

MODES Paris celebrates the cooler, more creative side of Parisian fashion with an event dedicated to one of the most appreciated talents of the new generation: Victor Weinsanto, the genius behind the eponymous brand, Weinsanto. Clad in contrasting textures of metallic grey and electric blue, the store was transformed into a retro-futuristic cabaret. Also present were two of the stars of the latest campaign, two of the designer's muses and inspirations, as well as modern-day "Courtisanes", La Grande Dame and Julie Demont, whose artistic contortions around the space amazed the guests. The evening's soundtrack was by DJ and sound designer Ugo Nardini, with a setlist of pieces created ad hoc for Weinsanto's shows.

Inauguration of the new Parisian space with a special event: MODES Paris declines the retailer's vision in the heart of the luxury streets. The event was held under the guidance of a guest of honour, Honey Dijon, exceptional DJ and stylist, who curated the music selection and presented her latest collection. Inspired by the spirit of New York City and its golden age nightlife, Honey Fucking Dijon's AW21 collection is full of disco references and pop colours. True signatures of the brand, they have been revisited in a gender-neutral and colourful key in tune with the spirit of the times.
